Policies


Dress Code

 

  1. All students wear a cover up coming and leaving the building.
  2. Hair must be pulled back off face.  5th grade and older must have hair in a SECURED bun. Please buy your child pins and hair nets so they may be prepared.
  3. Each class will have a different leotard they can go online and order.
  4. T-shirts, shorts, and baggy clothing are not allowed.
  5. Tights with feet only.
  6. Convertible tights for pre-toe
  7. Panties are not worn under leotards for any age.
  8. All girls wear  tan tap  shoes. Heels are required for 6th grade and older. Mary Janie for kindergarten and older.
  9. Pink ballet shoes  with elastic .
  10. Tan jazz shoes.
  11. Advanced jazz is required to have two pairs of jazz shoes. One the regular flats and the other a heel.
  12. Boys wear black tap and jazz shoes and white ballet shoes.
  13. Dance shoes are not to be worn outside.
  14. All jazz classes need kneepads.
  15. No jewelry.
  16. Students who are not properly dressed (including hair) will not participate.

 

Class uniforms will be ordered from Ms. Norma at Frederick's, Downtown Vicksburg

Dance Etiquette

 

  1. No gum, food, or drink in the building.
  2. Studio doors are locked most of the time.
  3. There is a short break between each class when the doors will be opened for students leaving and coming to class
  4. If you should happen to arrive late, ring the doorbell for assistants and wait until the music has stopped to enter the classroom
  5. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult when leaving the building.
  6. Class is mandatory for a good performance. Students missing more than 1/3 of the classes will not be allowed to participate in the performances.
  7. Students or their parents should call the studio if a child will be absent.
  8. Any student disrupting class will be asked to leave.
  9. We are not responsible for injuries on the premises.

 

Spring Concert


A costume deposit of $15 per student, per costume is due each month Sept. thru Jan. (If your child takes ballet and tap a $30 costume deposit is due each month)

The balances on the costumes are due in January.

All fees are non-refundable.

Admission fee will be charged.

Parents, relatives and friends are not allowed backstage during the performance.

Perfect Attendance and Terminology awards are given.
